This painting comes from sketches I made during a recent retreat to Mallacoota, on the beautiful Victorian coast. I was captivated by the bright colours of the estuary lake, where blues and greens blended wonderfully. The setting was lively yet peaceful, inspiring every brushstroke. I especially loved sketching the old jetties and sandy beaches, which is where the inspiration for this piece came.
